I’ve played many guitars in my life, certainly thousands. Some factory made and some made entirely by hand. Some by old and venerable firms having made instruments spanning generations and those made by the independent luthier. Many of any of these are very good and some are even the best that have ever been constructed and played. I believe that we who love the guitar and love playing the guitar have a special connection to the instrument. Call it a relationship, an affair, a fascination, a fulfillment. Not all guitars provide that fulfillment for each player. In fact only a select few ever make that connection, some factory made, some hand made. Of course making an instrument that meets that goal to inspire the player with its beauty, its form and function, its utility and of course, its voice, the tone that it produces that will ultimately speak to us, that is the purpose of the independent luthier. That is my purpose, my goal, to build an instrument that will, when put into the players hand inspire, by its feel, its beauty, its voice to seduce by all of its virtues.
